At CrossFit Parramatta we recommend to our athletes that they adopt a combination of both the Paleo and Zone diets. Paleo is all about the type of foods that you eat and Zone is more about the portions and balance of protein, fats and carbohydrates.

Our athletes eating in this way have noticed an increase in energy, improved recovery and stronger immune system. They also have experienced increased weight loss, increased lean muscle gain, and improved mental alertness and emotional state (mood).

What is Paleo?

The Paleo diet is all about natural foods to help achieve great health and a perfect physique. The human body evolved for more than 2 million years eating food we could find in nature: game meat, fish, vegetables, wild fruits, eggs and nuts. The human race was thriving on this diet high in animal saturated fat and proteins and low in carbs up until we introduced unnatural foods to our bodies.
